Collective for Human Rights Advocacy

About Us.

The Collective for Human Rights Advocacy is a student-run collective under the aegis of the Centre for Human Rights and Subaltern Studies at National Law University Delhi. The collective’s primary objective is to undertake and promote interdisciplinary socio-legal research under the theme of human rights law.

In furtherance of our aim, the CHRA blog aims to initiate academic discourse and promote dialogue on contemporary issues concerning human rights law both nationally and internationally. The research team of the Collective aims to involve a diversity of stakeholders both public and private to generate scholarship on contemporary events that violate human rights. Furthermore, it aims to assist and advise policy makers, legislators and other governmental agencies on matters relating to human rights.

For a fruitful engagement with stakeholders like students, professionals of other fields, administrators, the collective aims to conduct a series of seminars, conferences and workshops in the field of human rights.

Centre for Human Rights and Subaltern Studies is committed to upholding and promoting Liberty, Equality, Dignity, and Access to Justice for all individuals, fostering a global society that is sensitive to human rights irrespective of caste, class, religion, gender, ethnicity, or place of origin.

 

The Centre aspires to act as a beacon for human rights and contribute significantly to addressing larger issues related to human rights at both national and international levels in a scholarly manner.

 

It aims to be a hub for the study and transcendence of human rights issues, with a particular focus on subaltern social groups, including Dalits, women, indigenous communities, and religious, ethnic, and linguistic minorities. The Centre seeks to undertake research, generate knowledge, and advocate for the protection of human rights in various contexts.
